A year after the robbery with violence at Truvi's, the Garden Centre has once again been the victim of an attempted robbery.
This time the owners were unaware of the break-in until they opened up on Monday morning and realised that the security system had been destroyed.
The three hooded robbers who broke in at 2300 hrs. on the Sunday were caught on security cameras as they disarmed the burglar alarm and searched for a non-existent safe. They left the premises empty-handed, not even forcing the vending machines, and without vandalising the centre.
Break-in and robbery at La Menorquina
The Grupo Kalise Menorquina factory in Alaior, which makes ice cream and dairy desserts, was broken into on Wednesday night.
According to one of the heads of the company, the thief, or thieves, entered by making a hole in the wall and forcing the office door, before taking out the safe and sawing it in half.
In addition to taking 980 euros from the safe, the raiders turned the offices upside down and caused some damage.
