ViveMenorca to return to ACB

Last minute success means that the local basketball team will return to Spain's top league next season. The play-off for the LEB championship resulted in a seesaw battle between the two contestants, ViveMenorca and Ford Burgos. The Menorcans won the first of the five games 89-65, but Burgos rallied to take the next 65-69. The third leg in Burgos finished 69-64 in favour of the home team but ViveMenorca took the next 57-76. All then depended on the fifth and deciding game played in Menorca on Sunday evening which resulted in a 78-66 win for ViveMenorca giving them the title and promotion to the ACB.
